A new beginning through water: Inaugurating our water network in Basey

On July 2, we celebrated the inauguration of our new water network in Basey, on the island of Samar in the Philippines. Thanks to this project, dozens of families will soon have access to safe and reliable drinking water directly in their homes.
This project is the result of several years of work to identify a sustainable groundwater source suitable for drilling, carried out in close collaboration with the community to meet their essential water needs.
We were delighted to celebrate this inauguration alongside Sir Rhoy Avila, representing Municipal Mayor Hon. Luz Chu-Ponferrada, as well as representatives from the Basey Engineering Department, the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office, the National Housing Authority, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Basey Pointe 4 Homeowners Association, and our Better With Water community volunteers.
A huge congratulations to our Leyte team, whose dedication, perseverance, and teamwork made this project possible and are giving the people of Basey a new beginning through access to safe water.
