After Manila, 2gether4Water cames to Cebu
23 March 2026

As World Water Day approached, better with water Philippines, in partnership with the Belgian Embassy and the University of San Carlos, successfully organised the 2gether4Water event in Cebu, following a first edition held in Manila in 2025.
The event brought together a wide range of committed stakeholders — public institutions, NGOs, academics, businesses, and community leaders — around a shared objective: raising awareness of the importance of sustainable access to clean water in the region.
The presence of Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama Archival also sent a strong signal regarding the commitment of local authorities.
In a context where water-related challenges remain significant, the event helped strengthen collaborations and foster new momentum for action.
Hosted at Atua Midtown, a creative hub designed to encourage connections and promote local artists, the event also featured a photographic exhibition showcasing powerful visual stories about access to water, community initiatives, and environmental challenges. The exhibition remained open to the public for two weeks, extending awareness efforts beyond the event itself.
A special session was also organised for the general public on World Water Day, 22 March, giving visitors the opportunity to engage directly with Better with Water teams working on the ground.
